I actually said that I like black metal a lot. If you read correctly, you would have seen that. I also have an atmospheric/depressive black metal solo side project, which alone proves that I actually like black metal. And no, just because something is technical doesn't mean that it is shit. Also, 1349 is pretty much the most unmemorable BM band.

Hit me back when you listen to enough of 1349. Who cares about how technical shit is, it all sounds like garbage generally, simplicity can sometimes be a beautiful thing. I choose BM because I just thrive on it so much more. Lyrically, musically, what not. I wish everyone would stop trying to compete. It's music, not football. FUCK humans.

I didn't say it does NOT require ANY talent, I said it does not need as much talent as the other genres of metal, except goregrind/porngrind and some of those "4 chords songs" metal bands. Children of Bodom and Trivium's music are technical and well thought-out musically. Most "true" black metal songs are based on fast-paced power chords and chromatic riffing. Other genres of metal base their songs, willingly or not, on certain scales/modes.

I love black metal, but you are so wrong. At least, Children of Bodom and Trivium have talent. Black Metal, as much as I like it, does not require much talent.

Dark Throne isn't overrated. They're at the top of the black metal food chain because of their lyrics, image, and passion for music. That's what black metal is all about. They've worked hard for the role they play as an influence and as a great all around band. They may be a little redundant or repetitive, but it is what it is and we should still respect them for who they are and what they've done for us as metal fans and be thankful for their influence on other musicians we enjoy :)
