I met Daniel Smith from the band Danielson in Fríkirkjan for a short discussion on the faith, the band. The documentary referred to is Danielson: A Family Movie (or, Make a Joyful Noise Here) which was screened at the RIFF the day before the interview took place.

I applaud the family for their faith and for including it in their message. Daniel's music and his art make you think...their song I Love My Lord from the movie had me transfixed, it was both mesmerizing and interesting. I had to own the movie, I love the deep stuff. His music is both bizarre and different for sure, a disiple with the Lord as his muse:) If you havn't see the movie and watch all the special features:)

What I really like is the celebration of creating art and music and still having a faith and inner light and talking about it. You can be a cool Christian, or any other religion. Sepration of the two are seldom advocated through the word of God in music outside of church.
