I got into the black keys a few years back and they are almost exclusively what I listen to. Old stuff new stuff that funky blakrock album i simply don't care i never get tired of them. I do agree that i like their older albums a little better, but the new albums are good at getting people sucked into their music. Definitely check out their wicked messenger bob dylan cover. It just had sex with my ears.

It depends when you became a fan post Attack And Release, or pre. Personally I prefer there new stuff slightly better than there old stuff, but I have all the old stuff too.

THE MOST ESSENTIAL MOBY GRAPE PURCHASE YOU CAN MAKE IS THEIR DEBUT ALBUM! I wouldn't necessarily recommend "The Place And The Time" because it's all outtakes and stuff. It's GREAT, just not where I'd tell someone to start if they'd never heard them. And seriously? Dan has never heard Moby Grape?! They are only like one of the most talked about San Francisco rock bands of the late '60s. All his other picks are ACE.
