At least it starts a decent build quickly enough n the intro ., wish it had a little more synthesized elements but not a bad mix. Good fall outs and the builds leading into them are of good intensity , so that’s better than a lot I’ve heard from others. Just really wish it wouldn’t have mixed into “ lying in my bed ..” with the build into it being a diff. key than the vocal Bc the almost ehhh , can’t think of the words I’m wanting to explain it as I️ listen lol but it wasn’t distorted or diminished chords so much, just melodically had not an eerie quality of perhaps when ppl vocally will often play chords implementing the 4th rather than a 5 or 1 ( wish I️ could say it how I’m wanting to but I’m exhausted after wking and had the song stuck n my head n figured why not take it to the old school for a min before I️ go to sleep haha so being tired as I am I can’t really put junk words accurately and it’s bothering me that I can’t lol. Good mix but just wish it resolved into that part with use of diff. Chords during that build. Would’ve liked a really stronger dynamic increase into a fing huge fall out towards the end unleashing a wrath of bad ass hard hitting / slam yo mama down kinda impact and then fing take off into some crazy ass full out balls to the wall heavy Ass beats with that tempo driving like off the chain kinda hard Bc it could’ve taken it there and then after about 64 counts , just BAMMMM fall out and take the tempo down and incorporate some deep hitting slow fing wind downs with effects to just dynamically rise n fall , which in the club adding strobes during that segment would have a badass impact lol but to then have some light synthesized beats behind that slow tempo , not forceful but just on the fringe of the background with some additional affects that add suspense , n then rather than build take it with one hard hit n a pause of silence , add some syncopated keyboard chords n nothing but on the end of the measures silence yet ok Beats 1-4 of a 4-8 or even 24 grouping of measures have some synth. 16th or32nd notes just keeping it driving but not loud , just enough to intro and fall and intro and fall and then throw in one more big ass build breaking from quarter notes to 8ths to 16ths to 32 and for the completion to the climax , slam the f out of it full force 64th notes and drums hard bass and 8th note intervals that jump and fall in tempo with the quarter notes to add an awesome erratic badass free for all and then I’d just flat out let it mix into a diff. Song and play it thru to a point where it can calm down on its own when it resolves and fing be done lol. ( basically I didn’t like the ended. Was like the person gave up or didn’t fully take it where it wanted to go ). Just put the effort into the beginning dynamically why medium increase and never let it fall out fierce but it wanted to .. why not see that ? I mean if someone’s doing so well to create a good increase in each segment of shifts into each vocal / chorus etc. I’d have fig. They’d know to or at least that idk that would’ve bn something I thought they were eventually leading to based on their ability to hone in and know when to heighten n when to fall back Bc the DJ was handling it and taking the song somewhere n telling their story which while I didn’t care for all aspects I appreciated it. But that’s where they should maybe tty n just listen to it n think about coming back to this and extending the end and adding those elements Bc that’s the diff. Between a decent mix vs omg killin it n leaving nothing left once that energy has hit so fing strong n I just wanted to see it taken there. Not saying that rudely lol. I’m able musically to see when someone was passionate n putting their all creatively affecting the emotion n storyline the music alone creates , when they’re telling something thru their interpretation or creation , giving it to you and then being able to fully know when to push n when to pull back , when to let it ride and most important to end it when the music it’s self determines when the cut off is. Bc that’s the diff. Between someone being committed and attached to what they’re serving vs where I️ can tell when someone starts out w/all the right Elements and energy but who gets tired and just ehh throws the song away by not putting the same energy into the second half as they did in the first. Only saying Bc that DJ has the capability as seen in the beginning. But threw jt away and just ended it in a half way kinda ehh .. Bc it can segue into something and that’s fine. Sometimes mixes are going to have a dissatisfying end Bc they’re meant to not end but flow into another mix so I get it. But when ur taking a very recognizable song and it’s recognizable as a mix too already , adding ur own things to it ? U wanna fing throw it down , do it full out n drastic to the point to where when ur done u not only fing Laid it down , put it to bed , retired it too but laid it to rest to never be fd with better by anyone else again lmao. N when u don’t do it it just becomes another mix that’s forgotten. I’m just saying what I see musically and energetically Bc id f that song a new one lmao and make sure ppl remembered my ads for doing it.
