Anybody recognize the opening video? Hint hint this sample here, a 1947 educational documentary, "Are You Popular?" I thought was pretty lame and not just by today's standards of cheesy and cliché...but the acting was terrible and the script was just so unsophisticated and outdated for even that time period. I know you're thinking...who in their right mind ...would watch this 10 minute piece but I did for curiosity sake. Now I love this concept-rich song "Innerspace" featuring Toby Ganger about popularity and respect growing up. The instrumental for "Innerspace" is the typical celestial, ethereal beat that Kno is well-known for producing and the Deacon The Villain lyrics "Garcia Vegas, burglarizing neighbors for Segas/Lil schemers, countin' Beemers, Benzes & Acuras" followed by Natti's lyrics...really help to establish this as a well-crafted song. I guess they thought an obscure 1947 sample was fitting and it sounded OK in the song, but the documentary was just empty and vapid in itself.
