So no one really posts here anymore but uh, back in my music pirating days, I had an alternate version of this song (I think with more backing vocals?), and I remember liking it. . .I deleted the file at some point, or lost it to a ruined computer or something. Another incredible C&TCS song! This album was like discovering the best, seediest bar in the part of a city the tourists never go, and having the best night of your life -- and then trying to tell other people about it, and no one ever believes you. I listened to it non-stop one summer in Louisiana, and it is the soundtrack to 95-degree nights driving past cotton fields along the Cane River, for me.
