I saw a poster on the web for this gig, or at least I think it was this one. On that night these guys played in the company of Nick Cave and Swans.... that most have been one hell of a fucking good concert

@rollokb2 This music never becomes mainstream. Don't be so possessive, many of these hipster kids are actually really smart kids who're just tired of the dregs in modern music and are looking back for something better and more substantial...not saying that there isn't quality modern music, because there is, and A LOT (You need to know where to look for) but just because these classics are more heard of these days doesn't mean they're mainstream. You don't hear this stuff on the radio, right?

But they have become rather mainstream lately, not thats any reason not to like them. They seem to have become part of the hipster-indie counter culture (Dare I give them that title) movement. However this is really quite unheard of.

@rollokb2 Well I started listening to them when I was 15 but they didn't "click" until about a year ago. I've actually noticed a lot of teenage people who are big fans of this kind of music lately though (Swans, Nick Cave, Rowland S Howard, etc.). Judging by the blogs I happen across, anyway. It's fairly easy to find fans of all ages online if you're looking for them, but in certain communities, and definitely in real life, there's nothing. . .it's all pop music or silly metal.

I have this on vinyl! Wow. Do any of the kids today have ANY idea this kind of music existed in the 80's?
