Today's Memory

A happy birthday to :John Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce (1943) : Scottish musician and composer, known as a founder member of the British psychedelic rock power trio, Cream, in the late 1960s.He has maintained a solo career to date that spans several decades, and also has participated in several critically acclaimed musical ensembles. Easily recognised as a memorable vocalist and bass guitarist, Bruce has been referred to as a "World-class pioneer in his main instrument; a composer of some of the most endurable and recognisable rock songs of our time; an accomplished classical, jazz and Latin musician and one of popular music's most distinctive and evocative voices." Bruce is also trained as a classical cellist. However, despite all other genres of music with which he is associated, Bruce has always considered himself to be a jazz musician, although much of his catalogue of compositions and recordings tend to evoke the blues and rock and roll. The Sunday Times stated "... many consider him to be one of the greatest bass players of all time."Cream - I Feel Free From the album : Fresh Cream (1966) (US Release)"I Feel Free" is a song first recorded by the English rock band Cream. The song's lyrics were written by Pete Brown, its music by Jack Bruce. It was the first track on the US issue of their debut album, Fresh Cream (1966), and the band's second hit single (the first being "Wrapping Paper"). As with all tracks on Cream's US debut, producer's credit went to Robert Stigwood."I Feel Free" showcases the band's musical diversity, effectively combining blues rock with psychedelic pop."I Feel Free" was recorded in September 1966 at Ryemuse Studios. The track was recorded on an Ampex Reel-to-reel audio tape recording by Robert Stigwood and John Timperley. Stigwood made the decision to omit the song on the British release of Fresh Cream, and instead released it as a single.

Guys - lip synching was the norm on 1960's TV shows. The Beatles, Stones, Doors, The Who, etc. all did it. Most bands hated it but it was a normal production technique during the time.

Many tv shows were (are!) lip-sync, and in this vid you can tell that they are not reallyplaying. Whatever, just don't make a big fuss out of it.

How would I know that? Not everyone is familiar with the Beat Club. Then maybe the description should say lip-syncing it instead of performing it.

Well... the Beat Club was a television broadcast where artists would lip-sync their songs, so... i don't know what you're complaining

Is the uploader seriously trying to pedal this as being performed at this Club?
