Although this version is great and Darren Criss is a great singer, Sameer, the lead singer from Young the Giant definitely sings this song better. What really surprises me is that many of the comments claim that this cover has more emotion than the original. Sameer's style of singing is one of the most passionate I have ever heard and has effortless flow with the melody. All I hear here is choppiness and definitely not the same level of passion. I feel that many of you are confusing the strong emotions you felt during the scene this episode was played in with Darren's singing. You might hear this song and think of the powerful emotions from that scene and then mistake those emotions with coming from the song instead of the content of the episode.
