I think maybe you don't understand what this term "sell out" means. Maybe you're not from Texas and thus you would have no idea what Red Dirt is supposed to sound like. Maybe you don't understand that when they go to Nashville and get new management and cater their sound to "wider" audiences, they no longer sound anything like they used to, and that THIS IS selling out.

Pat Green isn't a sell out either. Being successful does not equate selling out. Being successful is kind of the whole point of doing what they do. You should want and be happy for your favorite singers who make it big. It doesn't mean they're selling out.

He IS...if you're from Texas, OK, NM, or many other southern states. He's pretty well known, although not as well as his college buddy Nashville sell out Pat Green. Check into "Red Dirt" ;-)
