@Terryl Chapman THIS IS their original and only recording of this song. It could be that you're confusing with George and Tammy's version which is probably the original and you think that Jones/Wynette's was better. Or maybe it's that this recording right here sounds a little draggy and it's supposed to be just, ever so slightly, faster. Like it's a technical problem with the record player that was used for this. I'm kinda thinking so on the latter.

When I was a little bitty boy my Momma would put these albums on on Saturday mornin and we would commence to cleanin house. Ilove these old country songs, and when ya listen to them ya see why this new country just ain't country to those of us who truly love country music.
