Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen was founded in 1967 in Michigan by George Frayne -- aka Commander Cody. True rock innovators, they fused American roots music, with Bop, r&b, and rockabilly. "Beat Me Daddy, Eight To The Bar" reached #87 in the US singles charts in 1972.

Yowzers! How I would have loved to have been there that night in '74! And at the time I was free to do so since I'd graduated from high school in June & didn't start community college till that fall!
