"this was written as a rock song" well..to me even the original space oddity doesn't sound so traditional rock, but most important...the best way to do a cover is to completely change the song...not to reply the existing version, to try a different atmosphere and a different key. Said this you cans till dislike this version, no problem. It's your taste. Fortunately no oen of us owns the msuic bible :-) so your opinion matters just like mine and the others :-)

The beauty of kaRINS voice combined with her exotic and breath taking sensuality instill a sense of calmness with lack of concern for the horror that awaits Major Tom. I find her interpretation soothing and familiar with just enough difference from the original to make Space Oddity new all over again.

@jessblackwolf Oh... I'm so sorry I offended your little song. Please do forgive me but I think the crazy delay on this woman's voice is overpowering. Also her "sexy" singing just doesn't fit the theme. This was written as a rock song, and it doesn't work with this "goth-enya" genre. Some of Collides other stuff is pretty good. Not sure why I'm talking to some stupid fangirl anyway. `go paint your nails black and leave peoples opinions alone.
