I never paid any attention to this song until last week. I was super stoned and was watching ken burns Jazz. The song came up and I heard all of jazz history in this song. The past, Louis Armstrong's style. the present, coleman himself, and the future, Bebop. a truly amazing recording. Perfect example of an evolving art form. I can hear traditional Jazz and bebop simultaneously here.
