This song is very good, but also a mishmash of influences. Jonny Buckland's guitar is obviously a copy of The Edge's (U2) guitar sound. 0:40 and 1:38, the palm muted guitar seems to be inspired by Matthew Bellamy (Muse), which wouldn't be surprising, since Muse and Coldplay often tour together. And at last, the vocals sound a bit like Thom Yorke (Radiohead), especially the falsetto part at 1:56. And finally, the guitar solo in the end is very "Edgy" too ;) Notice the synths in the intro, that could be the Muse influence too.
