What makes this version better than Embrace is the raw emotion and simplicity it is delivered. Just opinion. The emotion in Martin's voice wasn't duplicated w/ Embrace. IT's stripped down. Like it should be. It's a better version. From an artists view point.

I always prefered Coldplay's version over Embrace's. It's more raw, emotional. You can hear the true feeling in his voice. The singer in Embrace kind of sounds borderline robotic in my opinion, and I don't like the drums they added -- I feel like this song is certainly meant to be slow and unprocessed.This song evokes such strong emotion in me. His voice is so clear, the lyrics so profoundly honest. It's always been a favorite of mine, and probably always will be.
