Sorry, I really mean it far supercedes the charting version from late 80s. It puts the vocal into a great world of its own, rather than a world where it doesn't so much belong. Coldcut's 7" version was disco house, they were showing then that the quite recent genre of house music was still disco music, with Lisa and Yazz.. While, for that context it works well, it wasn't so good for Lisa's song. And acid house with it's samples and tweaks had been big in clubs. Timely, but it didn't fit the song

To me it's by far the best mix. It supercedes the original now for me, now I can't judge about that anymore, I've heard it so much. Anyway it had it's fair share of tweaks and odd samples which don't bear very much repeated playings, a bit sad for such a soulful song. The vocal sounds so soulful in this mix, it really sounds like perfect soul house, club music from a great singer and a great song. Thanks v.m. indeed for posting.
