My ending to Buffy should have had this song playing and fast forward to Buffy's grave and she died an old lady and standing above her grave looking at the tombstone should have been Angel and then he walks away. Shows that their love is eternal..... Or they could have just fast forward to an old Buffy rocking in a chair by the fire and someone comes in to the house and it's Angel and he says hi honey and they've been married all these years and he doesn't care that she's old

It's been a while since I last watched Buffy and I remember liking this theme, it was very sweet and sad and I wanted to hear it again, and, as I said it's been a while, and I didn't remembered quite well what happened and the reasons why Buffy and Angel couldn't be together and when 2:07 hit.... I suddenly remembered why, and I cried like a baby...

It is so sad that Buffy didn't get to spend the rest of her life with Angel because their love was eternal. But on the other hand the reason why they were torn apart goes down to the fact that they were so similar. Buffy saved the world from evil taking over and so did Angel due to the fact he wanted to repent from his crimes in his Angelus era. Angel had the chance to become human and be the ideal man she wanted, "someone who can take you out into the sun", but he couldn't be that man and save the world. Both of them were heroes and chose the innocents instead because at the end of the day thats what it came down to.
