On listening to it again it has just dawned on me that the ending of High and Dry is EXACTLY like Bachelor Boy, though the rest of the song is totally unlike it. Listen again and you'll spot it....

I remember watching this live in 1968. This was my favourite song and though I hadn't heard it in 43 years till I found it here I had never forgotten the chorus melody and words. I had forgotten the other 4 totally, but on hearing them all again I find "The Sound of the Candyman's Trumpet" my favorite now, though I can see why "Congratulations" was chosen to represent UK.

Cliff singing anything makes me smile, even this one. But I don't like it better than the Candyman's trumpet. Even back then, Cilla was silly for him. :)
