This is a beautiful version of morning dew, almost as beautiful as bonnie's; but you have to give the edge to the writer. the best version, by miles however, belongs to the jeff beck group, people; dead, allman, bros, blackfoot, you have to be joking - that's third rate trash like most us american stuff

If this chick recorded without background vocals I'd say it would be the modern day version of Bonnie Dobson...Almost 50 years later and Bonnies version still rulz!!! Thanks for posting the song!

As a long fan of both groups I can not disagree with you more. Better then Bonnie Dobson and almost all the rest I agree. The Dead's arrangement of the song lent itself for maximum emotional impact, both as desperation and resignation. After playing it 250 times, for over 30 years, they got pretty good at it. There is no way Clannad could reproduce this version live and a great percentage of The Grateful Dead live versions just blow this heavily produced version away. (A rec. Augusta 10-12-84.)
