I'll never forget turning 28 after a string of relationships but then realizing true love for the first time in my life, dancing with her under the stars, and reaching a point where i became innocent like a child when i was with her. I heard this song when the relationship was over and bawled my eyes out. I can say now though that i wouldn't have traded it for anything. That emotional roller coaster was worth it because it was real not like the others and always different with each twist and turn. I know i'll get another ticket one day, find the courage to get back on as i hope everyone does, and in the end i can look at her now like an old friend and smile

This song is absolutely what I am feeling. I was with the same girl from the age of 12 and I am now 24 and going through a divorce. Being with the same girl for literally half of your life and then having it all fall apart is absolutely brutal. I think I've listened to this song 40 times in the last 24 hours.
