you know, I always heard the first "green" as "great" and "safely in hands" as "safely enhance" as in, "safely enhance any unconscious faith you had...". I'm not a huge pot supporter, despite smoking it regularly for 7-8 years. I missed out on a lot of good moments to go get high, though I also had many of my own whilst under the influence. I will always hear what I first heard in the lyrics of this song, and for me, it refers to psychedelics, which are, IMO, life changing and more meaningful.
