Brian "Too loud" McCloud was the brains behind Headpins ( and the band Chilliwack) cast Chrissy as a replacement for Darby...but he contracted Cancer and chose instead to let the album be a solo for her. ( it does have a heavy Headpins feel to it) I think this was his last project he did b4 his death in 92

Chrissy's version is way better than Romeo's Daughter. Better guitar riffs, has more feel, pain, anger, rage...she delivered a perfect song. Though, i heard Romeo's Daughter version first but i liked this one.

I should've said version 1, 2, 3, OR 4. But OMG--that number 4 is torture to listen to. Don't do it. You will have to listen to ANY other version at least 10 times to purge it from your memory, lol.

I doubt she'd want to be Leigh whomever. Chrissy does this at least a step and a half above Leigh's version, which makes it not only more intense, but tougher to sing, and Chrissy does it with ease. The first version is fine, but after you listen to this one, it sounds homogenized and kind of watered-down. Whether you prefer version 1, 2, or 3, it's pretty clear that Chrissy is a superior singer from chops to feel, and she also had a fantastic vocal producer for this. TY4Posting. :)

@lockyer72 Actually, Bonnie Tyler didn't do this song until 1992. And Chrissy Steele did it in 1991. The song was originally done in 1988 by Romeo's daughter fronted by singer Leigh Matty. So it is a Leigh Matty cover, not a Bonnie Tyler cover.
