Vern Gosdin (August 5, 1934 April 28, 2009) was an American country music singer. He idolized The Louvin Brothers and The Blue Sky Boys as a young man and sang in a gospel quartet called The Gosdin Brothers. An inheritor of the soulful honky tonk style of Lefty Frizzell and Merle Haggard, Gosdin was nicknamed "The Voice" by his peers. He had 19 top-ten solo hits on the Country music charts from the late 1970's through the early 1990's. Three of these hits went to number one: "I Can Tell By The Way You Dance (You're Gonna Love Me Tonight)", "Set 'em Up Joe" and "I'm Still Crazy".[

This is Eric Hulsey,(Rebeccas Hubby) When I was 17-19 I was a road musician. I was fortunate to play music with a man named Boxcar Willie and another young Lady named Sylvia (she had that song" nobody") I was playing at the J&J nightclub in Athens Ga and vern played there his guitar player was sick so I filled in and vern then helped me get the nashville jobs but some of my best memories is sitting with Vern at the bowling alley in Forrest Park Georgia drinking beer and bitchin about his ex wife12 years назад

The things a boy is taught from dad`s of the past...no crying, no hugs, no I love you`s, don`t show your feelings or affection, conquer, destroy..... "BE A MAN" ! For you young dad`s it`s ok to show your son the NO`s and dont`s from above as well as to win....
