LYRICS

Late night comes are you home?

No you're not

You're out with urge to satisfy yourself it's your vicious plot

Looking back I realize that it's my fault

I'm not around so your love comes to a halt

You have no remorse in you

It's the only thing you know

You destroy me every time you little cunt

I never wanted this

Gave myself to you to get paid back with lies

Every time I trust you I lose in the end

I feel disgust in myself

I love how you can call me and pretend you're innocent

While I'm out here trying to better myself

You're a pig when it comes to my emotions

You drown me in your wake because you have no devotion

You have no remorse in you

It's the only thing you know

You destroy me every time you little cunt

I never wanted this

Gave myself to you to get paid back with lies

Every time I trust you I lose in the end

This was such a good album... I hate how Chimaira had a steady descent into being mainstream garbage. The self tilted was the last thing they released that had all listenable tracks. It's a shame they had to SpLit up but I'm glad they did cause I don't think I could manage them ruining my childhood anymore...

Dirge for November

I feel really disappointed in this band...I got this album as a demo with 3 songs on it back in like 99/2000 maybe 01... I dunno. In fact, I still have it somewhere. I immediately started following this band as the three songs on that demo...hmm...was fresh? It was definitely brutal. The heavy, industrial touch, deep dark emotional lyrics. Then the album dropped and it was absolute fkn gold. The ENTIRE "Pass out of Existence" album was so well put together and just flowed from one song to the next. My favorite song being 'Painting the White to Grey'. If you have not listened to this album from start to finish you should consider yourself deprived. I can't stress enough how this album was their zenith. The album has you wanting to just conquer everything in your path and releases you with Jade.To my dismay the album received so much negative press that it was absolute b.s.. From that point forth from what I saw is they were forced to change their style or risk losing fan base and their record labels attention. So they did the sensible thing and made the shift. The following album 'Impossibility of Reason' was exactly this. A shift from the industrial side to a more heavier approach. I still followed the band greatly at that time. Driving all over this state to see them multiple times, simply going to just take absolute fkn aggression in their pits. Cause if you know this band, you know that their pits are brutal. Even got their first DVD... THE DAY it went on sale. Let's be honest here. They were all jerks to Andols, but to give up his position for a woman! Specially after you just got signed! If she lacks that much understanding it's time to rethink that. I was a bit unhappy when I got to see them the several road trip times. They had the crazy Euro dude that would go ballistic. He was a sick drummer though......BUT! I was actually happy when I saw that Andols returned. Obviously woke up and glad the guys let him back in. I believe 'Resurrection' was either a song by him or for him. Then their self-titled album drops. As I always did then after being stoked to have a new CD for my collection. I popped that fker in and gave it a few listens.... Shift complete. Though I still liked the album three-fourths of the elements they had on their first album has now been assimilated.Have since lost what I had with their music.
