No video, this was made up with clips. Remember them performing this with glam make up and capes on

Not the follow up, this was the third single after SOMF.

I wouldn't say it's better than SOMF. It lacks the hook. This is just a rock song with the moog/synth thrown in to capitalise on the successful theme of SOMF. Anyway, the bass player played on one of my albums in the studio in the 80's and the bass player of Edison Lighthouse played on another, so it's my claim to fame to have had 2 number 1 bassists on my albums. It's about my only claim to fame though

This music was an integral part of the Rock Scene, in the early '70s a party favourite along with their other hits.

Brilliant single - has a lot more "bite" than SOMF in my view. Love the synthesiser bit in the middle and the opening 12 seconds or so. Brings back memories of my late teens at grammar school. There seemed so much good and upcoming new acts in 1973 coming through into the charts. Thanks or putting this on. Will have to brush the dust off"What's Your Name" single I have somewhere and give it a spin.

One of the original members is going to play our local pub. How the mighty have fallen but I will go.

Yeah! That's when I first heard it - on Crackerjack and instantly loved it.

I remember that as well. Every time I hear the song I can see them humping around with these antenna bopping things wearing shiny lycra "spider things" you mention. I'll never forget that. They played it in the studio wearing those weird costumes.

Check out the video for 'Cigarettes, women and wine' on Youtube. There is a picture of the group wearing the costumes for this song

I "see" sounds as colours (synaesthesia) and when I was four, hearing this record for the first time, the opening growly noise was a big brown entity that was going to come out of the speakers and get me. Was petrified of the track coming on - like it now though. Check out Looky Looky by Giorgio Moroder and see if you recognise the vocal refrain. Recycled music, huh?

First single I ever bought with my own money! I was 8 years old and it cost 45p - which is why I thought records were often referred to as "45's"!!

I somehow remember the T.O.T.P. Video to this that they were wearing strange spider like headwear...anyone remember it?
