It's a thrill to hear each iteration of this tune on the initial tour of Japan. Remarks are made by the band about how [they] "screwed up" the recording of this record. I think that was a good-natured comment by Zander about releasing versions that didn't have the best performances from that tour--or that contained mistakes by the band. There were a lot of them in the Budokan shows if you listen to the raw recordings from the boot DVDs that circulate. The guys were stunned by the adulation and it's fun to watch them develop memes that would stay with them for decades afterward.

Great song from then a great band at their height of success. Wow, can't get over the drumming by Bun E. Carlos. Such a phenomenal drummer, and Rick Neilson's style of guitar playing, such absurd chords his uses. A +++. This was the very first band I saw live in '82 or maybe '81, not sure anymore,... a long time ago.
