Hard to say for sure when it comes to Brendan's custom harps... could very well be that he removed some vlalves and embossed the read slots too... when it comes to customizing and alternate tunings and playing, Brendan Power is from out of this world... he's just amazing... and figuring out what he is playing frustrates the heck out of me since it ain't "normal" !

The bends he is getting are clearly "diatonic-class" full bends, and are thanks to Brendan Power's half-valving mod to the CX-12 - just remove the odd-numbered windsavers and you can bend the draw notes just like a diatonic. I've done it to mine.

Ken: do you think Brendan took some valves off the CX-12 to facilitate deeper bends or does Ben just have great technique? I didn't get in on Brendan's custom CX-12's (rats)...but never found out if he took that extra step, given that he and PT have been adding valves judiciously to diatonics?
