Charley Pride is an American musician/guitarist, recording artist, performer, and business owner. Pride's first single aired in 1966 . he had placed more than 36 No.1on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "Kiss An Angel Good Morning" was a million-selling crossover single. In the 1970's he became the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis Presley.
Over the past 30 years, Pride has remained one of the Top 20 best-selling country artists of all-time with over 70 million records sold, 31 gold and 4 platinum albums - including one quadruple platinum.
Pride wan The Entertainer of the Year Award in 1971 and Top Male Vocalist Award in 1971 and 1972.
In 1999, Charley Pride received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
