FYI guys Charlie had a much more upbeat rendition, too, before DC Talk's rendition, but hearing this rendition I think the first verse fits the mood of this rendition much better, the sound of frustration and tiredness, and the feel of the chorus forward is "hopeful and full of grace and joy" -- not sugar overdose giddy joy but relieved joy. Like the sound of laying down a heavy weight of one's own brokenness and seeing this beautiful perpetual transformation taking place.

Yes... I love Charlie Peacock's version of In The Light (and yes he wrote it) but DC Talk did the cover of this song but prefer DC Talks because it has more of this the upbeat rhythm to it.
