Calm down. English as spoken in america actually resembles english of the revolutionary period more so than english as spoken in England, which has gone through more influences from other languages. Thus, Americans didn't fuck up anything, they actually preserved it more so.

Do calm down. Americans didn't "Fuck it up", we intentionally made it that way some time when the revolution ended. This was to try to break away from the British as much as possible. Seriously, this war about the English language between America and England is getting rather stale, especially when neither side provides very good points or actual evidence most of the time. It's simply difference between cultures and the language, much like in other countries like Japan.
