I am a huge Celine fan, and often will defend her if I feel she's singing live. However, the first time I saw this video I thought it was lipped. She's REALLY over selling it here. It looks like she's trying a little too hard...too noticeable. Reason I think it was lipped: it was televised. She seems to lip a lot for televised performances...but most of her tours/Vegas are not lipped. She doesn't need to lip...I think she does it so she doesn't screw up on TV. Nonetheless, she is a great artist!

she lips some of the songs to preserve her voice. she was doing a looooooooot of shows. i think if they were 100% live every night, she wouldnt have been able to do the big note in "i surrender" :)

baby... in vocal exercises, if you lower your jaw, you would not have those high notes... plus she is over opening her mouth and over doing the body gestures.. When Celine usually sings live she concentrates on her vocal chords, not on the body movement.. So please accept the fact that this is a lip-sync from her opening night version. A live singer would take the smiley position for their cheeks and the effort is concentrated on the upper jaw not the lower one

Amazing voice, yet this performance seemed somewhat fidgerty. It seemed as if she was trying to overcompansate the fact that she mimed with really abrupt movements which really just made the performance a little jerky. Celine did mime, as she pre-recorded this to go into her Vegas show - yet who knows? She must have sang it live many times in that amazing show. I much prefer her 2007 performance, it was amazing, stunning, fantastic, just like her, but this performance seemed uncharacteristic.
