The point of doing a cover is to do your own spin on the song, or else covers will all be the same with few differences. Although some may say Celine goes on too strong for this classic, I personally love it for its uniqueness among the many other covers. Plus, I really adore how she creates a new story with her expressions and voice, and when she sings I just picture a young woman who is experiencing love for the first time and is starting to see the world in a new way that she had never seen before. Whereas, in the original I imagine a lady being completely enraptured in her love with her flame. So basically, to me Celine's cover is brighter and more youthful, while the original is softer and more mature. And I love them both either way.

I don't know, I always picture someone in love strolling in the park, singing this song to themselves. With Celine Dion, I just don't get that feeling. But a powerful, intense love song (My Heart Will Go On) that's where Celine Dion truly shines.

This song is amazing and Celine Dion is a great singer, but they just don't go together. Her style is very contemporary pop, whereas this song takes a simple, classic voice without too many nuances. It just loses it's original carefree tune.
