I hate it when people compare him and cut down Sage/Cecil. They are different indie hop artists...... leave it the fuck alone. I prefer Sage any-day and don't find him "less accessible" but Cecil is still up there for me. They are both brilliant lyricists.

I like Cecil cause he doesn't blame anyone (like the govt or powerful people) for putting people in a bad situation. It's like all rappers have this "they" that's not really defined that is the source of all evil, but Cecil sees it more as a personal challenge to make the most of life no matter what situation you're in.. And he's not materialistic :)
