Always his most religious song that I ever heard.Even hearing it when first released, and I was 6, I always felt let down by another bland message to pick up the good book. Like a church ad on tv. This was before full flight christian music. Then I was confused by him saying the answer lies within, yet it required an external object like a book. Only cat song that sounded illogical. It also negated the depth of his other stuff. Hey kids. You just need a bible. Just like sunday school says. Meh.

Sadly his 'answer within' proved to be just more religious dogma. Truly feel for all those people who believe organized religion- of any type- however well intentioned is the answer, when history clearly shows the bane it has been to humanity.

I got this album several years after I'd heard many of the songs on the radio while I was in junior high, and before I saw Harold and Maude (which I recommend to everyone...his songs are so apropos for this strange and sweet and wondrous story). These songs are still fresh and alive...and what he has put out in his latest album is such a continuation of being on a path of self acceptance, self discovery, and self understanding. glad people still listen to these roots of his road to find out ;-).

Early on he did tell us what he was compelled to do...it seemed obvious to me back then that he was going to go on a grand journey...it didn't surprise me that he did indeed go looking. He is now in his 60's, I am 57, I understand where he was then and is now...as a dancer my body doesn't do what it used to do but my soul shows more when I dance...he knows himself better now and sorry to say, age takes the youthful tones from our voices and our bodies...I truly love him.
