George Harrison and John Lennon (all you need is love) are also favourites of mine and I totally agree with you Jason about the things which are really important, reaching the "Top" is not one of them, I'm sure of that, even though I've not been there. I admire Cat for his entertaining us over the years and still more for finding his inner self. Cat and The Beatles' are the tops with me plus many more musicians and entertainers going back to Mozart etc. Thanks Jason.

Thanks for the info (enlightenment) I didn't know about his LA near death experience which inspired Cat to change his faith.Cat Stevens is one of the greatest Artists of all time and although we are all unique Cat is more so. Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam) will continue to grace the airwaves in our household for ever and a day. Rock on Cat.

Yes I'm aware he changed his name to Yusuf Islam and I respect him for that although I'm not religious myself but he must have seen something to initiate his change of religion ( the light?) and that's OK with me. Cat Steven,s is one of my favourite artists and his unique vocals and songs have a very human warmth. I bought his sixties LP with songs like Granny and Mathew & Son on and in those days you could get a job very easily but you did work hard hence the meaning to the lyrics of Mathew & Son. I also purchased his LP of Teaser and the Fire cat which was also a big success and displayed his maturity, passion and warmth as a Great Artist and human being. Cat Stevens encompassed the fashions of the time. ( that's show biz.) and has continued to evolve which is a very important part of life. Well don Cat and keep on singing.

Cat Stevens is a truly great artist and its interesting to watch him mature from the 60s onwards. "Cat" your a credit to the whole world with your insight and combination of great music and great voice. Your spirit shines through with everything you do and its because your true to yourself and your belief in peace and sincerity. Bless you "Cat" and keep that light shining.
