I am sad for those who never had there dads around. But, I always had the opposite feeling. I had my dad around, he was always there. But.... he was always around to abuse us. he only seen us as property, and no matter what we did good or bad we were an embarrassment, and he was disappointed in us. Never good enough, never getting anything right, in his eyes we were pure evil and we would tell us God would tell him things. He would tell me God told him I was a whore, when I was a virgin. He told me that God told him I run the streets when I am home all the time. He would stand at my door putting me down, threatening and telling me God will smite me. He would keep doing it until my nose would bleed from being so stressed out. When he would see this, he would give me a satisfying smile like he got what he came for and left. Long story short, I would pray that God would either take me from him, or please take him so he couldn't hurt us anymore. I was raised in church, I accepted Christ in my heart on my own when I was older. Our Father above in Heaven is my only Father. I still love the man he had be my birth Father, and I have forgiven him. But I do not trust him with my children. So I love from a distance and pray for him often. God is my father and I am so proud to be his child. I know he loves me with the purest love, and more love nothing else can compete or compare to it. I am thankful and I love our Heavenly father.

I ran across this song a while back and instantly saw a connection. I never had my biological father in my life personally. He paid child support, but that was it. He wanted nothing else to do with me. I always wanted that father/daughter relationship and never understood how any man could just decide not to be in their daughters life. I reached out a final time after I was 18 and was turned down once again. I have now found that the only father I need in my life is God.

I always prayed and asked Jesus why I don't have a dad or why he wasn't around to be there on the most important days of my life. My birthdays, and my graduation where I wanted to see him there happy and proud of what I accomplished but I never seen him, sadly I don't even know him. It still gets to me cuz I see everyone else happy with a dad, and some don't appreciate their fathers when they are around which is hard to see cuz I would give anything to have a father figure in my life. And this song has shown me that Jesus has always been there for me and always will I'm proud to have him in my life, he is my strength and I'm glad to have accepted him into my life.

My dad is around, but he isn't the best father. He yells. He cusses. He does some pretty bad stuff. No child abuse, but he can be really mean to me and my brothers. This song and this video really touched me in away and I feel like crying.

Camping with his friends. He wasn't even there for my actual birth. But you know what? God has helped me forgive him:) I am now 14 soon to be 15 and have found people in my church who have basically adopted me:) even a man in the church who treats me like his daughter. Agreed. I was fortunate enough that God captivated my heart at a young age. He was my Father when my dad didn't step up. Friends, God is a Father to the fatherless. I've seen it in my life many times. I hope this song brings you encouragement and reassures/ informs you that there IS a father who is CRAZY about you.
