My first album I owned was "Close To You". The one with the pink heart. This was on it and even then I felt an affinity with it. I miss Karen to this day. One of the greatest female vocalists to come out of my generation. Without a doubt! RIP, Karen. If only you loved yourself as much as your fans loved you. You might be here today. ❤

Born to this Earth as a gift from above in the 50's.... she came of age and honed her musical talents in the 60's... with her lovely voice, she softly rocked and caressed the 70's.... and before returning to Heaven, she ushered-in the 80's. ........and broke my teenage heart in the 1990's when I finally learned of her passing. Truly, she was a legend in every sense of the word.
