Carles Benavent [born 1954] is a flamenco and jazz bassist. Benavent has played alongside Paco de Lucía, Chick Corea and Miles Davis. He developed a new style of bass that has been integrated into flamenco music. His preferred instrument is the fretless bass. [Wikipedia]
