This is how things were floating some 40+ years ago and look at things now ... Sadly, the magic only lives on in such recordings ...

BRILLIANT! A friend turned me onto the 1st Caravan LP in the mid 90's and it's still one of my fave U.K. 60's psych LP's!

So it turns out an audio bootleg of Colour Me Pop still exists thanks to a long term diehard fan and friend of the band. He has recently digitised the original cassette tape and we are in the process of making a reconstruction video of the lost episode which may be released on the channel soon. Regards.

Thanks for confirming it...and that's why it was just great that these 2 clips turned up There's so much stuff nowadays on yt that I would have never thought in my wildest dreams I would see and it's usually thanks to French TV or German and Dutch...I'm thinking about early Soft Machine and the likes of Blossom Toes and Kaleidoscope :)

Yes, sadly it hasn't, not even an audio recording. Hardly any episodes of the series still exist. The band were also guests on the BBC's 'Disco 2' and 'Top of the Pops' in 1970. Neither of those have survived either. There were also several other 1971 / 1972 Europe appearances but as of yet, we haven't been able to track them down. Regards.

Would love to see the COLOUR ME POP programme they appeared on but it doesn't look like it survived...:(

Pye Hastings/Richard Sinclair : Lennon/McCartney Mark II !! No wonder tensions arose, like having Mozart and Bach fight it out !
