A bit late, but for anyone else: put a finger in the ear closest to the person singing the part that puts you off. It makes their part quieter and yours louder. Once you start feeling comfortable, slowly take your finger away to gradually even the volumes again. Does the trick well for me.

Catherine is not their regular alto - she is a mezzo-soprano who, just like the other three (especially Lindsay, who sings lead here and has a huge vocal range), is quite versatile and sings different parts in the different songs.
