Growing up in PR, down the street from my house, the corner bar, "Bar Edna". had all the the titles from this album. I used to go to that corner just to listen to this tunes being played. At 10 my first LP was Cal's Latin Concert. Latin Jazz one of the great loves of my life.

I have this LP, the way they handle Ray Bryant Cubano Chant is beautiful, The people who don't understand latin jazz it's OK and the flute fit perfect. Cal play some congas on this album. Check out Art Blakey Drum Suite with Ray Bryant playing Cubano Chant and Candido congas solo, it's wonderful.
