the reason for all the "labeling" of metal music is basically what u guys are doing in this "boards".In the end someone will come and read this things and say that, that band sings that type of metal.Can we not argue about this minor thing and just listen to the FUCKING MUSIC ??

"Viking metal" is more a cross between melodic death and black metal, but with lyrics focusing on Viking topics. Just like blackened death metal is a genre, technically, but is really just black and death metal fused together. Regardless, Cadacross and Amon Amarth both kick ass, so let's all hug! :D
