this album is loaded with great deep cuts like this. obviously their singles were phenomenal, but their albums were solid too. given the popularity of the "singles going steady" comp it's easy to remember them only as 'singles band', but this was surely not the case. maher is sort of playing an inverted 'bo diddley beat' here. they were more creative than they get credit for

Top Notch! Though Joy Division blew them off stage when they played support for Buzzcocks at The Rainbow in '80, after the gig straight to The Moonlight to see Joy Division headline. Twice in one night with a classic set from The Buzzcocks too. Those WERE the days........Peace.
