Busta Rhymes - Gimme Some More (1998)

E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front

(album 1998)

Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr., (born May 20, 1972),[1] better known by his stage name Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper, producer and actor.

E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front is the third studio album by American hip-hop artist Busta Rhymes, released on December 15, 1998 (see 1998 in music). It is the first album by Busta Rhymes to feature production by Swizz Beatz, as well as no contribution from longtime collaborator Jay Dee. Critically acclaimed, the album debuted at number twelve on the US Billboard 200, reaching number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and being the recipient of two Grammy nominations, one for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Solo Performance, respectively.

"Gimme Some More" is the first single by Busta Rhymes from his third solo album E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front. The song is often considered to be the very summit of Busta's complex, breathless, high-speed rhyming delivery most prominent in his early work.[1] The track was produced by regular Busta collaborator DJ Scratch. The violin riffs that accompany the main beat are sampled from the opening theme to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, composed by Bernard Herrmann. In 2000, it was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards, but lost to Eminem's My Name Is.

I DON'T CARE IF YOU HATE RAR OR "HIP HOP>>>>This song has the COOLEST music because it is from "Psycho" & what he's saying is he fell on his head when he was little & that was kind of what set him apart. I think Eminem is "Clever" & yes funny...But Busta Rhymes is a far superior rapper & Bo Burnham is far funnier faster & MUCH MUCH SMARTER & CLEVER....

I just don't understand why everybody bashes Busta for signing to Cash Money, when his main motivation in music has always been making money. Back in his early days he was the most succesful member of Lords of the Underground. He always wanted to be a mainstream rapper cause he had a son to support
