Chris just can't create the atmosphere with his guitar like Nigel did. Nigel had a crazy way of adding in subtle nuances and dissonant chords with his guitar that made you wonder what made him think of adding "that" into the song.

the only reason it sounds off is because the rest of the band in really quiet compared to the singer which this is probably just from a bad recording of their audio and who ever did this probably didn't know what they were doing

lol I can't stand the bass players expression at certain times during the song. I hate guitar players who get all into it and have their lips quiver during easy songs and shit. I will always prefer someone like Elliott Smith's playing where he doesn't get all douchey looking while playing something as hard to play as "Independence Day"
