My long-deceased father-in-law was from Saskatoon, a real character like Burton. However, Burton is also a paragon of talent that should make Canada proud! I've always loved our neighbors to the north, and I'll always love this tune.

I simply do not know how anyone could ever dislike this song. One of the best of the best. This has been rolling around in my head for about 40 years. I do not have the capacity to put this in better words, but like Burton says in his opening, the first "true" rock and roll song from Canada! Man, what a performance. Runnin Back To Sask has always been my fav Guess Who tune. Amazing that it was a live recording. The tempo is cool and groovin. The interplay between Winter and McDougal (?), was delicious.
