thanks also for the post-i saw this film for the first time at the Camp Lejuene Theater--the theater was filled. at the end almost every marine had at least one tear in his/her eyes. these rough tough men and women were all touched with thoughts of home and lost lovers (the girls {and boys} they left behind. thanks for the memory

seen this movie when I was real young, and actually bought the vhs about 10 yrs. but don't have a vhs player so i can't watch it now! i love this movie, love this song, and want to hear real good.

i remember when it first came out and was shown on Camp Leljune--have you ever seen a bunch of marines with tearsin their eyes and i'm not only talking about the women marines---a great but under rated film---wish t was available

This is my all-time favorite movie. I literally wore out my VHS copy, sometimes watching the movie 2 or 3 times a day. My kids grew up hearing the music, which I learned on piano after seeing the film. (I play by ear.) I've only recently found it on here, and I look it up now and then, just to hear it. My video is nearly inaudible, so I want to thank you for posting this. It means so much. And yes, Burton Cummings does have a wonderful voice!

Actually, this song is called "Something Old, Something New." it is off of the album "Sweet Sweet" (I burned it from record to CD so that I could put it on my ipod.) Killer song. Amazing voice.

I bought this movie online for $9.99 +tax from CVPlus (through Google) it was transferred from vhs but the quality is very good

@baltosilver It's only on an Album called "Sweet Sweet" and if you ever find a copy, you'd be snatch it up, because it's very rare.
