This is a crazy detailed explanation: Alright, here it is, our singer once became involved with someone beneath their ''league,'' if you well, of less intelligence, or lower stature, possibly even the same being as themselves, but having made all the ''wrong'' decisions. Someone that they, at first, they thought was just another '''sweet'' little ''kill,'' as we all have in our lives, we're made of flesh. But once they got in there, got close to this ''kill,'' got to truly know them as we do with anyone we are intimate with, they fell in love...unexpectedly, unforeseen, improbable, even. How could someone that seemed once seemed so simple, such an easy mark, be so complex, affect me so much, and all the while remain so stagnate in this impossible, ridiculous realm in which you toil? Our singer feels like a father/mother figure to this person that they have tapped into. This person has broken them free of the harsh, real world that they live in, and introduced them to a whole new world. This new world holds the same reality, the same torment, the same beauty, but somehow, if only because it is different, this other world has awoken our singer, and even further intrigued them in this person, this new love, and the world they live in. As they once had it all figured out, and aimed for kills behind the sights of a rifle that had the authority and power to pull the trigger on its prey, in a world they had so mapped out, they find themselves intertwined in a completely new reality with this person they have fallen for. So there's our context, now on to the meaning. Like I've said, ''I thought you were the sweetest kill, did I even know?'' Preconceived notions out the window, this ''lesser'' person has surprised you, spun your head around, introduced you to a new world. In fact, although you love one another to a point of break, neither of you understand where the other comes from or the inter-workings of the world you each live in. You both pretend for one another, you play the game, ''was it just for show?'' but the world our singer has been introduced to is not that of society, your singer lives in society, but has fallen for someone in another realm, someone who refuses to recognize society as the way to live (almost to a point of insanity). ''If they tried to pull you out, would you even go?'' Our singer is baffled. He does not understand someone so obdurate, so stubborn, yet beautifully stuck in his/her world that he/she will not leave it for anything. The singer knows that they have already lost the battle, lost this soul, they were too far gone when they met them, but they have hope for the light and the genius in this person. They want to help their new love through this tough world. ''I held your hand into the light.'' ''They can try to put you down, tear you out, get you through your will that won't work.'' ''I'll break you though this world.'' The singer wants this love to put his/her hand in theirs and come to the next level of existence. They seemed a ''sweet kill'' at first because they lived in another place, a place of dreams, of non-function, a dying breed if you will, but our singer has now been introduced to the beauty of this realm, and is in love with that, and in love with this stubborn, yet gentle and beautiful, childlike figure that has introduced them to it (still, he knows it is not real, it is no way to live, to create, to make a difference on this rock we call earth). This struggle, this push and pull between worlds, with love as the middle ground, this is their whole relationship. This is quickly realized by both of them, and as much as they try to push through their differences in the name of love, they are broken from the start. One longs to protect the other from the harsh realities of this cruel world, and the other refuses to acknowledge this world as ''real'' and lives happily, and unmovable as an underling.Still, they press out, out of faith in each other. ''Long time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives.'' We understood our lives perfectly before we met, both of us. In fact, I picked you off as an easy mark for myself, a ''sweet kill,'' I thought I had a handle on it all. And maybe they both did, but their differences, and their love and respect for each other have thrown that all in flux. The only thing they have in common is their new confusion with where they stand and what they are meant to do in this life. So they sit, they have sweeping, romantic, maybe even epic discussions about where their lives are going. But in reality, they simple love to hear each other speak, and they cannot answer each other's questions, they come from different worlds. And to tell the truth, each of them knows their own answers, but they keep themselves in limbo with this love, because to answer the question, would undeniably mean separation. As they love each other more deeply than either has ever known (or at least the most differently, in a most rejuvenating way), they cannot end it, so they take it further. Both of them already know that it is over, it will not work out, but their love is so strong, they push it to the next level. They try and make it more intense than it already is, in hopes that this intensity will consummate them, bring one to the other's side, but this hope is actually not a hope at all. They have reached a point of confusion in love and brokenness that has become desperation. ''When we took the level ten, was it just a twelve?'' Are we shooting for something unattainable, even when we take our relationship to the most highest level it will ever exist on? ''and when we went to where we've been, was it just for self?'' How long have we known this was over, but just wanted to play out our dream? It could be so sweet, if you would put your hand in mine, but we both know, that it will never be. I love you...

Honestly the woman occasionally mouthing the lyrics to the song RUINS anything the video has to offer. I wish that people realised that it becomes gimmicky and ends viewer submersion. I may speak for myself, but the moment it happens it reminds me it's 'just a video'. Spoiling the fantasy and/or shock value. :T

i mean the song is called "sweetest kill" they couldn't resist to go for the literal interpretation of the title just to do a fun & gory video! but it did have deeper meaning too, its all up for debate, thats what art does, i guess.

I don't know what the song is about, but it has a sexy bassline that doesn't suggest it's about murder.
