I have loved this song for a while now and never met many people who have heard of Bright Eyes. I was amazed when my older sister begun walking down the isle at her wedding and this was the song that was playing. Truly a beautiful song.

this song is tragically beautiful for me... i was in a 7 1/2 year relationship with a man i thought i was going to marry. he once told me this song was how he felt about me--wanted to be with me forever, and work toward a happiness we could only dream of at the time. he died on february 19th, 2013. all i can think of is how badly i want to hold him one last time and tell him i love him. this song is my way of telling him how much he meant to me-- so, Chris. i love you, now and forever. <3

"I don't love you" ???. "So if you wanna be with me, with these things there's no telling, we just have to wait and see." I think this song is describing his LOVE for someone. He felt as though he was blind before he met them, that he could go anywhere with them and be happy, but they're not in a relationship. In order for them to get to that point, he has to wait, be patient, and work hard. He'd rather work for this person than wait around for someone else to perfectly fall in love with him.
